Shirley has been a member of this church since 1946. She started playing the organ here in 1952. While her husband Luke was in the Navy, they lived in other places for 13 years before moving back to Mountain Home. She now directs 2 adult handbell choirs, plays organ & piano for church services and other events, is a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry, volunteers at the Christian Clinic, decorates cakes, and walks every day. Shirley and Luke have two children, one which lives in the area with their grandaughter Haley.
