Custodian

Qualifications

  • Self motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Reliable and responsible with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills to report issues effectively.
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 20 pounds, but occasionally will be required to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • The candidate for employment will be subject to a background check and may be requested to take a drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Building Operations Director, the part time custodian cleans and maintains the church building and grounds, sets up equipment for special events and assists church staff with work requests.
  • Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Vacuuming, mopping, collecting & disposing of trash, sanitizing meeting rooms and opening/closing the church for various meetings and activities.

Hours & Compensation

  • 15 hours per week.
  • Starting pay 11 dollars per hour.

Children’s Ministry Director
Part-time

FUMCMH is seeking to hire a creative, organized, and spiritually mature Children’s Ministry Director. The Children’s Ministry Director provides a safe, loving, and vibrant learning environment with activities for children, Pre-K through 5th grade. The ideal candidate has a passion for teaching children, planning programs and events, plus recruiting and building a team to assist in these events. Nursery Coordinator
Part-time

FUMCMH is seeking to hire a Nursery Coordinator. This person will be responsible for overseeing children from age birth through Kindergarten. The coordinator will plan age- appropriate activities, recruit and train paid or volunteer nursery staff, monitor the ratio of workers to children, and serve as a point of contact for new families with nursery-age children. Organist/Pianist/Accompanist
Part Time

FUMCMH is seeking to hire a qualified and enthusiastic Organist/Pianist/Accompanist to perform and help plan music for Sunday morning 11:00 worship including hymns, anthems, and other forms of musical worship, weddings and funerals, and special services. The organist/accompanist will participate in all choir rehearsals. The ideal person will have the ability to play traditional and contemporary pieces and a willingness to work collaboratively with the Pastor and Director of Music to select music for worship services. This is a part-time position, and the hours of this position may vary; however, a set rehearsal night and Sunday morning worship remain part of the hours worked.
